If something isn’t working as expected on ChampionsMeta, this page covers the most common issues and how to resolve them. If your problem isn’t listed here, you can report it on GitHub.
Team submission requires three things to be true at the same time:
  1. You must be signed in. If you’re not logged in, the submission form won’t be accessible. Sign in from the top navigation bar.
  2. Your email must be verified. Unverified accounts cannot submit teams. Check your inbox for a verification email from ChampionsMeta and click the link inside.
  3. Your team must be complete. All 6 Pokémon slots are required, and each slot must have a valid ability, nature, held item, and exactly 4 moves selected.
Partially filled teams cannot be submitted. Every slot must be fully configured before the submit button becomes active.
If you meet all three requirements and the form still won’t submit, check whether any slot has a validation error highlighted in red — hover over it for details.
Each of the 6 Pokémon slots on your team must include all of the following:
  • Pokémon — a legal Regulation M-A Pokémon selected from the search
  • Ability — one of the Pokémon’s available abilities
  • Nature — any of the 25 natures
  • Held item — one of the legal competitive items (including Mega Stones)
  • 4 moves — all four move slots must be filled
  • EV spread — at least 66 EV points distributed across stats
EV rules: You can spend up to 66 total EV points across all six stats. No single stat can exceed 32 EV points. The EV input in the Team Builder enforces these limits automatically and will highlight any stat that exceeds the cap.
The Team Builder shows a clickable “Recommended” hint next to the nature and ability selectors, based on the most common choices seen in tournament data for that Pokémon. Use these as a starting point and adjust to fit your strategy.
Upvoting requires an active signed-in session. If you see a greyed-out upvote button or nothing happens when you click it, sign in first and then try again.
You cannot upvote your own teams.
If you’re already signed in and the upvote still isn’t registering, try refreshing the page. Each team can only be upvoted once per account.
If the Meta Dashboard shows generic Pokémon names, dashed stat boxes, or the message “Showing placeholder data,” it means no tournament data has been imported yet for the current format. This is expected behavior when:
  • The site has just been set up and no tournaments have synced yet
  • You’re accessing the site very early in a new format cycle before any events have been scraped
What to do: The daily sync will populate real data as soon as a Regulation M-A tournament is available on Limitless TCG. Check back after the next sync window. The dashboard will update automatically once real data is imported.
The home page shows a live team count next to “Updated daily with the latest tournament results.” If the number is greater than zero, real data is loaded — try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R) to clear your browser cache.
To reset your password:
  1. Go to the sign-in page and click “Forgot password?”
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account
  3. Check your inbox for a password reset email from ChampionsMeta
  4. Click the link in the email — it will take you to a page where you can set a new password
  5. Sign in with your new password
Password reset links expire after a short window for security. If the link has expired, return to the sign-in page and request a new one.
If the verification email didn’t arrive after signing up:
  1. Check your spam or junk folder — transactional email from new senders often lands there.
  2. Wait a few minutes — delivery can occasionally be delayed.
  3. Request a new verification email — sign in to your account and look for a “Resend verification email” option on your profile or account settings page.
Until your email is verified, you won’t be able to submit teams to the community section. All other features — browsing, the Team Builder, and the Meta Dashboard — are available without verification.
If you’ve checked spam and still haven’t received anything after requesting a resend, make sure the email address on your account is correct. You can verify this from your account settings.
